Certified Microblading
Before your appointment with Bourgie Brows here are a few things to know and remember:
- DO NOT pick/tweeze/wax/perform electrolysis 2 days prior to the procedure
- DO NOT tan two weeks prior to the service, or have a sunburned face
- DO NOT have any type of facial peels 2 weeks prior to the procedure
- For best results, DO NOT have botox 2 weeks prior to the procedure
- You must not be on Accutane Medication for one year prior to microblading
- You must not be pregnant or nursing as Lidocaine is used for complete numbing
- You must not be on any type of chemotherapy for 6 months prior to microblading
In order to avoid excessive bleeding and poor color deposit:
- DO NOT drink alcohol 24 hours before your procedure
- DO NOT take an aspirin or ibuprofen for pain relief (these also thin the blood)
After Your Procedure:
- Use a fresh pillowcase while you sleep as you don't want to get any bacteria in your newly microbladed brows
- Let any scabbing (here at Bourgie Brows scabbing is VERY MINIMAL due the technique we do during the procedure and the care we take with each client) or dry skin naturally exfoliate away
- No facials, botox, chemical treatments or microdermabrasion for 4 weeks
- Avoid hot, sweaty exercise for one week (we supply our active clients with headbands and extra aftercare ointment to help during this time)
- Avoid direct sun exposure or tanning for 4 weeks after the procedure
- Avoid long, hot showers for the first 10 days
- Avoid sleeping on your face for the first night if possible
- Avoid the ocean (the salt will pull the pigment/color out) and hot tubs for the first 7-10 days
- Avoid makeup directly on the brows and allow them to heal naturally. After microblading you won't need brow makeup. That is the whole point of Bourgie Brows
- DO NOT rub, pic, or scratch the treated area
- Follow the aftercare exactly how it says on the aftercare cards as well as on this site and you will have Beautiful Bourgie Brows that stay all day 24/7.
